UW Oshkosh and its organization Students for Music partner with The Howard to present An Evening with Branford Marsalis on Tuesday, October 15.

Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one of the most influential and revered figures in contemporary music. The NEA Jazz Master, Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee is equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead, but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics.

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS | $50

Tickets are $50 and give you access to the main event space. This is a seated, general admission show.

General Admission Doors Open: 6:30PM

Concert Start: 7:30PM

DINNER + SHOW TICKETS | $100

Tickets are $100 and give you premium access to Grand Ballroom seating for the show plus a pre-show dinner experience in the Great Hall. Dinner service beings at 6PM with main event to follow.

Cocktail Hour: 5:30PM

Dinner Service Begins: 6PM

Concert Starts: 7:30PM


Dinner Menu
Course 1: Sunburst Salad

Port Soaked cranberries with blue cheese, baby greens, almonds and a raspberry dressing

Course 2: “Shrimp and Crawfish Boil”

Butter poached gulf shrimp and crawfish tails served with Andouille “creamed corn” and potato crisps

Course 3: Smothered Pork Chops served over red beans and rice

Bone-in Pork Chop with mushroom and dark roux gravy served over traditional red beans and rice

Course 4: “Bananas Foster”

Coconut Panna Cotta with dark rum caramel and bruleed bananas
